Police seek witnesses in accidents on The Bluff

In both accidents, the motorcycle drivers lost their lives.

BRIGHTON Beach Police are calling on witnesses of two accidents to come forward and assist detectives with their investigations.

Captain Louise le Roux, the station’s spokesperson, said two separate cases of culpable homicide were being investigated.

She said in the first case, there was a collision between a white Ford Bantam and a black motorcycle with white insignia along Grays Inn Road on The Bluff, on September 19, at about 16:30.

“The driver of the motorcycle was assisted by an unknown man who placed him on the back of his bakkie and rushed him to the hospital. However, he sadly passed away.

“Detectives are calling on any witness to this incident and the individual that had assisted the deceased to avail themselves to assist in their investigation,” she said.

Le Roux said in the second case, members were called to attend an accident scene along Solomon Mahlangu Drive, on September 22, at about 18:00.

She said the collision occurred between a silver BMW and a blue Honda motorcycle.

“Sadly, the driver of the motorcycle died. Detectives are now calling on any persons who witnessed the incident to come forward and provide any information that can help with their investigations,” she said.
