Help wildlife in need by purchasing a Crow calendar for 2024

All the funds generated from calendar sales will go directly towards the rescue, rehabilitation and release of wildlife.

HOPING to generate some much-needed funds, the Centre for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife (Crow), together with Compass Cares, are excited to announce the upcoming release of their annual calendar for 2024.

Crow’s operations director and herpetologist, Clint Halkett-Siddall, said it was a project close to their hearts.

“It not only showcases breathtaking wildlife photography but also serves as a testament to the incredible work being carried out at Crow.

“This year, we take immense pride in presenting the ‘From Dusk to Dawn at Zimanga’ theme for our calendar. The calendar features 12 extraordinary and captivating wildlife photographs that will transport you to the enchanting realm of nature,” he said.

Halkett-Siddall said all of the monies raised from the calendar sales go directly towards the rescue, rehabilitation and release of local wildlife.

“We want to emphasise that the support of the public, regardless of its scale, holds the power to make a significant difference in the lives of those we are dedicated to helping. Together, we have the opportunity to create positive change within our community. The public’s consideration and support for our charity drive are deeply appreciated,” he said.

Compass Cares’ chief executive officer, Ian du Randt, added the initiative, which was launched 15 years ago, has always been rooted in a noble cause.

“We pledge that 100% of the proceeds generated from the calendar campaign will be directly donated to Crow. When the public purchases one of our calendars, they are making a direct contribution to our mission of caring for more than 3 000 injured, orphaned or displaced wild animals that seek refuge with us annually,” he said.

Du Randt said the calendars are currently in the production phase and have been thoughtfully designed.

“The calendars are not only visually appealing but also serve as a constant reminder of the significant impact the public’s support can have on those in greatest need. To sweeten the deal, each calendar also includes a complimentary planner,” he said.

You can purchase an A2 wall calendar at R200 or an A5 tent calendar at R100.
