WATCH: Dog dies after testing positive for rabies on The Bluff

The rabies virus infects the central nervous system of animals, ultimately causing disease in the brain and death.

WARD 66 councillor Zoë Solomon is urging residents to seek medical attention if they have been in contact with a stray dog, named Daisy, seen in the Marlborough Park area on The Bluff, over the past week.

She said this appeal comes after the dog tested positive for rabies and has since died.
