Community urged to spread warmth this winter by donating a blanket

The blanket drive will run until June 2, and the items will be handed out on June 3.

HOPING to spread warmth this winter, Bluff Assist (Brighton Beach Victim Friendly Centre NPC) is appealing to the community to open their hearts and donate blankets.

Chantal Bransgrove-Bower, one of the directors, said they had received many pleas for assistance from underprivileged families and individuals in the area.

“Many of them have young children and not enough or even no blankets to keep them warm on these very cold nights. We are now appealing for new or used clean, good-quality blankets.

“We have also been collecting jerseys, jackets, socks and other warm clothing items which we will hand out to those in need. We would really appreciate the support of the community – you can truly bring hope and warmth by helping families and individuals this winter season,” she said.

Bransgrove-Bower said they will be collecting until June 2, and the items will be handed out on June 3.

If you would like to donate, you can contact Bransgrove-Bower via WhatsApp on 083 734 2841.
