Sibaya’s Mother’s Day shopping festival
Sibaya’s Mother’s Day Shopping Festival is a unique event that combines shopping with Mom, for Mom, and a day out with good entertainment and hospitality. It starts on Wednesday, May 10 and lasts until Sunday, May 14, at the SunPark, Sibaya Casino.
This festival is more than just a shopping experience; it is a day of fun, excitement and entertainment which includes live music and competitions. You’ll also have the opportunity to find the perfect gift for your mom from a wide selection of vendors, all in one place. Tickets are R50 and can be purchased at TicketPro – all moms, grandmothers and stepmoms enter for free.
Mothers and daughters’ high tea
In celebration of Mother’s Day, Ikusasa Ngelami and Zonkez Parenting Solutions will be having an afternoon of connection and reflection to explore the many ways that mothers and daughters can support each other. On Being a Unitarian
The Durban Unitarian Fellowship will meet on Sunday, May 14 in the Frank Farrer Hall, Palmiet Nature Reserve, Old New Germany Road, Westville at 10:00. Barbara Baard will present a talk titled On Being a Unitarian, based on a talk given by the late Ivan Baard. This will include a brief historical overview of the origin and development of Unitarianism. The public is welcome. Bring your own mug or cup. Refreshments will be available. South African Opera – the Struggle to Survive
The Decorative Arts Society’s presentation by Dr David Smith, professor of opera and choral music at UKZN, titled South African Opera – the Struggle to Survive will take place on Tuesday, May 16 from 12:30 to 13:30 at the Visitors’ Centre, Durban Botanic Gardens.
