WATCH: Montclair CPF invites residents to first anniversary celebration

The neighbourhood watch groups will be launched at the anniversary celebration.

TO CELEBRATE the first anniversary of the current Montclair Community Policing Forum, residents are invited to join members at a stand-off and crime awareness campaign incorporating various safety and security sectors, on April 1, at the corners of Montclair and Kenyon Howden roads.

Vice chairperson for the Montclair CPF, Jackie Goncalves, said the elected CPF members were proud to commemorate the first anniversary of the voluntary-based work done by the forum.

The neighbourhood watch groups which will be launched at the anniversary celebration assists the CPF by reporting crime in the area on groups and also patrol the area during the day and at night, with regular foot and vehicle patrols.

The two sub-forums which form part of the Montclair CPF, Montwood and Yellowwood Park, and the Clairwood Business Sector sub-forum will also join the commemoration, which will be held from 15:00 to 17:00. A snake patrol will commence at 19:30 from Yellowwood Park SPAR.
