Wanted card scammers nabbed on The Bluff

Further investigation revealed that these suspects and this vehicle were linked to multiple case numbers across the province.

THE collective efforts of security stakeholders led to three wanted alleged card scammers finally being nabbed and arrested on The Bluff recently. Charnel Hattingh, the head of marketing and communications at Fidelity Services Group, said their Specialised Intervention Unit (SIU) received information regarding a positive ID on a vehicle used by card scammers from a CPF crime watch group following a SNIPR camera activation.

“The card scammers had just robbed a member of the community of their SASSA and bank cards at a store on Bluff Road. The vehicle was spotted heading towards Edwin Swales Drive and our SIU team responded immediately,” she said.

Further investigation revealed that these suspects and this vehicle were linked to multiple case numbers across the province. We commend our SIU members for their quick response and excellent teamwork in ensuring these suspects were caught,” she said.
