Help talented teen get to Brazil soccer tournament

The 17-year-old plays indoor and outdoor football for a Wentworth based team named Noddytown FC.

DETERMINED teenager, Jaliel Braden Eddie, will jet off to Brazil to showcase his football skills while playing against some of the world’s best teams, in April. On a mission to raise enough funds for the trip, Jaliel, has been training hard while also networking to rake up the R22 000 he needs to pursue his soccer dreams.

His soccer journey started at the age of five, playing for Wailers FC U9 team. He wowed spectators with his talent and was the youngest boy on the team. People could not believe that he was just five-years-old and followed him with awestruck eyes as he made his way through the soccer field, scoring challenging goals during matches.
Jaliel left the Wailers FC and joined Bayview FC at the age of six, under the coaching of Mario Labuschagne, who still coaches him to date, in the U17 team.

He ventured off for two years to play for the Amazulu FC, but later returned to Bayview FC.
Accolades include winning player of the season, as well as highest goal scorer every year, since he began playing soccer.

“Being selected to play in the Brazil Soccer Tournament Tour in April with Major Sports 365 is really a dream come true. My parents and I are seeking assistance in making my dreams a reality and we appreciate all the support that we get,” said Jaliel.

The 17-year-old plays indoor and outdoor football for a Wentworth based team named Noddytown FC. He was also recently selected to play in the Engen Knockout Tournament. Highlights in his career as a footballer includes playing for Supersport, Amazulu FC and the Liverpool Academy of South Africa.

“Jaliel has been working very hard over the past few years to pursue his career in soccer. His achievements are amazing because he is extremely dedicated in becoming a great soccer star. Your contribution can help him achieve that goal,” said his mom, Charlene.
