Festive spoils for Merebank senior citizens

Among the activities of the day, was a Christmas play, which starred some of their seniors.

OVER a 100 senior citizens were treated to a fun-filled day of entertainment, scrumptious meals and gifts, at the Durban South Service Centre (DSSC) Christmas celebration held at the Merebank Regional Hall on December 14.

Sharin Rajman, the chairperson of the DSSC, which is an affiliate of Durban Association for the Aged (DAFTA), said among the activities of the day, was a Christmas play, which starred some of their seniors.

“It was a wonderful day and I am so proud of our seniors, who not only got all the props needed, but remembered the script.
“Everyone was in awe. I would like to thank the cast and all of our sponsors for making this a successful event,” she said.
