Volunteer to love and care for abandoned or abused children

Part of the duties of the volunteer will be to play with, read to, and interact with the children and babies, as well as changing diapers.

AS the festive season nears, leaving many organisations short-staffed, the Isiaiah 54 Children’s Sanctuary welcomes volunteers who can love and care for the abused and abandoned babies and children at the home.

The sanctuary’s Youandi Gilain, said the sanctuary needed female volunteers who are committed, loving, caring, creative and flexible.

“Volunteers will need to be able to do at least two shifts of four hours a week, for a minimum of one month. We require volunteers during this part of the year, since the holidays are approaching and our staff will be on leave. There will be a morning shift from 08:00 to 12:00, and an afternoon shift from 13:00 to 17:00,” said Gilain.

Volunteers have to be 16 years or older, and must love children.

Part of the duties of the volunteer will be to play with, read to, and interact with the children and babies, as well as changing diapers.

To register to volunteer, send an email to isiaiah54@hotmail.com with your name, surname and age. Volunteer forms will be sent back to you to complete.
