HOPING to help some of man’s best friends waiting at the Durban & Coast SPCA to find their forever homes, the Sun is showcasing a pet of the week.

Meet Lexi, a one-year-old Pointer cross, who was unwanted.

She is a sweet little lady and would love to be apart of a family that will give her loads of love and attention.
Tanya Fleischer, the marketing manager at the Durban & Coast SPCA, said those interested in adopting and have other pets, are encouraged to bring their dog along for a meet and greet.

She said this would assist in ensuring that the dog you are interested in adopting would be a good fit for your family.

“It is also encouraged to bring your child or children along to ensure you get a dog best fit for your family. However, our adoption’s team is very knowledgeable and will guide you and ensure that you get the best new addition to your family.

“In addition, animals up for adoption are correct at the time of going to print and may or may not still be available,” she said.
