A 27-year-old Wentworth woman was shot in her head and succumbed to her injuries during a shooting outside a food outlet in Bluff, at about 19:45 last night.
According to reports from Emer-G-Med Paramedics who attended the scene in Tara Road, the woman succumbed to her injuries while a male, also aged 27, sustained several gunshot wounds to his right arm, right thigh and left leg.
According to sources, the woman, as well as three other men, exited the fast-food outlet when they heard gunshots.
Two of the men managed to escape unharmed.
A case of murder and attempted murder has been opened and is being investigated at Brighton Beach police station.
