Police investigate attempted murders of Wentworth men shot outside court

KZN police say the motive for the attack is unknown.

DURBAN Central police are investigating three charges of attempted murder after two men and a court official were shot outside the Durban Magistrate’s Court earlier today.

“This morning at 10:00, police were called to the Durban Magistrate’s Court where it is alleged that two men, both aged 21, were walking towards the court when unknown men who were in a vehicle opened fire towards them. They both sustained injuries and were rushed to the hospital for medical attention. It was also discovered that a court official was hit by a stray bullet and sustained injuries on the thigh,” confirmed provincial police spokesperson Constable Thenjiswa Ngcobo.

Mgcobo added that the motive for the attack is unknown.
