Crusaders MC’s Ink and Iron festival highlighted the best motorcyclists and tattoo artists around Durban. The festival was a must for motorcycle enthusiasts and tattoo aficionados.

THE Ink and Iron festival, hosted by the Crusaders Motorcycle Club, took place at Toti Square in Amanzimtoti on July 20, showcasing the best in motorcycles and tattoos.

This annual event has become a highlight for bike enthusiasts and tattoo lovers alike, drawing a large crowd eager to immerse themselves in the vibrant atmosphere.

Eddie Bohm, chairperson of the Crusaders MC, expressed his delight at the turnout, noting that all bike clubs, enthusiasts, and tattoo aficionados were in attendance. “It was a great turnout and an awesome atmosphere. It is nice to see people with the same interests coming together,” said Bohm.

The festival featured an array of attractions, including a stunning display of motorcycles, intricate tattoo artistry, beer gardens, food stalls and biking apparel stores. Attendees enjoyed live music from a band that kept the energy high throughout the day.

Another highlight of the day was the tattoo competition, which saw various tattoo studios from all over Durban competing for the title of Best Art of the Show. For the second year in a row, the award was won by Bluff-based tattoo artist Mario Stoffels. His works of a samurai and geisha tattoo captivated the judges and audience alike, securing him the coveted award.

Bohm extended his gratitude to everyone who participated and contributed to the event’s success. He added that events like these underscore the community spirit that makes up biking clubs everywhere. The Ink and Iron Festival continues to be a testament to the passion and camaraderie among those who share a love for motorcycles and tattoos.
