eThekwini Municipality announces planned water restriction

The municipality have warned residents with a new date for a planned water restriction after their initial water restriction, planned for July 23, never took place.

THE eThekwini Municipality has announced another planned water restriction scheduled for July 25, from 08:00 to 16:00, following a statement issued by the city’s Water and Sanitation Unit.

The restriction is necessary for uMngeni-uThukela Water (UWW) to assess work conditions in preparation for their major shutdown planned for August.

This comes on the heels of a previously planned restriction initially set to take place on July 23.

The City’s Water and Sanitation Unit emphasised the importance of this restriction to ensure that all necessary assessments and preparations can be completed efficiently and effectively ahead of the major shutdown.
