Miss Wentworth Durban dazzles at crowning ceremony [Pictures]

The glitz and glam paid off for Amber-Shirneil Saunders who was crowned Miss Wentworth Durban 2024 in front of a roaring crowd and supportive groups of finalists.

THE Austerville Community Hall buzzed with excitement as it hosted the inaugural Miss Wentworth Durban crowning ceremony on June 29.

Organised by the MTY Productions Team, the event marked a significant milestone for the community.

With 400 guests in attendance, the atmosphere was vibrant and filled with community spirit as attendees cheered for the finalists. The finalists, dazzling in their glamorous attire, were judged by Thami Mdlalose, Shannice Mahadeo, Jesse Shane and Nomfundo Ngubane.

Amber-Shirneil Saunders was crowned Miss Wentworth Durban 2024, with Charys-Mari Botha and Raylene Saunders named first and second princesses, respectively.

Tracey Williams, the event marketer, expressed her joy at the turnout and the community’s involvement, stating, “I am very happy with the turnout. The community stepped in and showed love for all the finalists. Thank you to all our businesses that supported this initiative as it would not have been possible without you.”
