This community-focused event will see various municipal departments converge at the Wentworth Bowling Club and Wow Centre in Austerville to directly engage with residents and address their needs.

The Batho Pele principle, which translates to ‘People First’ in Sesotho, underpins this proactive approach by ensuring that public services are delivered efficiently, effectively, and with the utmost transparency. By bringing these services directly to the community, the municipality hopes to empower residents by providing them with direct access to key resources and information.

Through the Batho Pele Outreach Programme, the municipality aims to not only provide essential services but also to build trust and strengthen their relationship with the community.

Departments participating in the outreach programme include Housing, Health, Social Services, Electricity and Utilities.

By actively engaging with communities and listening to their needs, local government officials aim to make a tangible difference in the lives of residents, promoting inclusivity and effective service delivery.
