Crow seeks community support with wish list

The Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife cares for between 300 and 600 animals, which is why they are appealing to the community to come together and help supply any of their wish-list items.

THE Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife (CROW) is calling on the community to help provide essential items needed to care for the 300 to 600 animals that rely on their services each month.

The centre is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and release of injured, orphaned and displaced wildlife.

“Your generous donations can make a world of difference,” Crow said in a recent appeal on Facebook. The centre is in constant need of various supplies to ensure the well-being of the animals in their care. They are reaching out for help with both small and large items from their wish list, which can be found in detail on their Facebook page.

The everyday essential items include mealworms, hose pipes, bin bags, snap hooks, pens, pencils, crayons, chairs and cable ties, which are needed for day-to-day operations and maintenance.

Larger items needed include a brush cutter, capture nets, a microwave, fridges, a heavy-duty washing machine, a chest freezer and animal transport carriers.

Crow is committed to providing the best possible care for the animals, but they cannot do it alone. They rely heavily on the kindness and support of the community. Donations of any size or type are greatly appreciated and make a significant impact.

If you can contribute any items from the wishlist, please drop them off at the CROW centre located at 15A Coedmore Avenue, Yellowwood Park.

Your support ensures that Crow can continue its vital work in wildlife conservation and rehabilitation.
