Police launch manhunt after 10 suspects rob supermarket in Montclair

POLICE in Montclair have launched a vigorous manhunt following a brazen robbery at a local supermarket in Montclair. The incident, which unfolded on May 24, saw a gang of 10 armed men storming into a supermarket, causing panic and chaos among staff and customers.

Sources at the scene recount a terrifying scene as the suspects, donned in gloves and blue overalls, barged into the premises wielding firearms. Their swift and coordinated actions left no room for hesitation as they ordered cashiers to the ground and ransacked the store.

Police spokesperson for the eThekwini District Captain Carmen Rhynes said the suspects left no stone unturned in their quest for cash.

“The suspects robbed the cashiers before forcibly gaining entry to the cash office. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken during the heist.”

The situation escalated further when the perpetrators resorted to gunfire before making their escape in unidentified vehicles – leaving the authorities scrambling to apprehend them. Despite the swift response from law enforcement, no arrests have been made thus far.
