The public relations officer for The Bluff Community Police Forum, Avey Moodley, said their members received the information about a missing child on March 7.

A joint search for the missing girl between CPF members, security companies and the police was conducted on March 8.

“CPF members, along with the assistance of security company TRSS, received information regarding the whereabouts of a 33-year-old suspect, who was allegedly involved in the kidnapping, after the girl had been reported missing.

“The members also received a new lead about the whereabouts of the suspect. Acting swiftly, the CPF members proceeded to the provided location to verify the accuracy of the information.

“Upon arrival at the location, the members successfully identified the suspect and confirmed the presence of the missing girl. Understanding the urgency of the situation, they immediately contacted Brighton Beach Police to inform them about the developments.
