JUST IN: Child (3) attacked by pitbull on The Bluff
There was chaos at the scene of the attack as members of the public tried to contain the dog.
A three-year-old boy has sustained multiple injuries after he was allegedly attacked by a dog in Watsonia Road on The Bluff, a short while ago.

Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services said, paramedics arrived on the scene to find chaos as members of the public were trying to contain the dog, a pitbull.
“The patient’s mother carried the boy to our medics. He had sustained multiple serious injuries as a result of the attack.
“He was stabilised on scene, before he was rushed through to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required,” he said.
Jamieson said, at this stage the cause of the attack is unknown.
“However, police were on the scene and will be investigating further,” he said.
