Biker in critical condition after collision on M4 south

The critically injured biker went into a state of cardiac arrest.

A BIKER was left critically injured following a collision on the M4 south near Clairwood on Sunday, November 12.

Garrith Jamieson, the spokesperson for ALS Paramedics Medical Services, said on arrival, paramedics found the badly damaged motorbike and vehicle on the freeway.

“The critically injured biker was found lying some metres away. Advanced life support paramedics worked to stabilise the man on scene, however, he went into a state of cardiac arrest.

“Following a successful resuscitation by paramedics on scene, the critically injured man was rushed to a nearby hospital for the urgent care that he required. The driver of the vehicle sustained minor injuries,” he said.

Jamieson said the events leading up to the crash are unknown, however, police were at the scene and will be investigating further.
