Tidal pool closed due to broken valve

The tidal pool at Brighton Beach will remain closed until the valve and boundary rope are repaired.

OFFICIALS are unsure as to when the Brighton Beach tidal pool, which has been closed for the past few weeks, will be repaired and reopened.

The councillor for the area, Zoë Solomon, said the pool has been inspected by officials and contractors.

“The tidal pool was visited by myself, together with the officials and contractors, as I wanted them to see the extent to which the pool needs rescuing. The broken valve and the boundary rope need to be repaired and replaced.

“The public will be notified when repairs are complete so the pool can be utilised again,” Solomon added.
