Police launch manhunt for Yellowwood Park man’s killers

The Montclair Police are actively involved in the case, and they are putting significant effort into locating the suspects.

MONTCLAIR police have intensified their investigations into the murder of Clairwood businessman, Ishalen Naicker, and are appealing to witnesses or anyone with information to assist with the case.

Naicker (38) was found lying in a pool of blood inside his business premises on September 5.

He sustained a single stab wound to his neck and was declared dead on the scene at the premises of his family business, Auto Glass and Aluminium Centre, on South Coast Road.

Montclair police spokesperson Captain Cheryl Pillay said police have launched a manhunt for the suspect/s.

Station commander of Montclair police station Colonel Trevor Small said, “Detectives are working around the clock to ensure that the suspect/s are arrested.”

Kuben Naidoo, on behalf of the Montclair Community Policing Forum Sector 2 Sub-forum, which covers the Clairwood and Rossburgh business areas, said the forum was deeply saddened by Naicker’s brutal murder.

“We offer our sincere condolences and deepest sympathy to the Naicker family from Auto Glass and Aluminium Centre on the unbearable loss of their son.

“May God bless them with strength and support during this difficult period of bereavement. We will keep them in our prayers,” added Naidoo.

He encouraged business owners to be extra vigilant.

“As the vice-chairperson of the Clairwood Business Sector, my message to all businesses is ‘forewarned is forearmed’. Be vigilant about your surroundings. Be observant with regards to suspicious individuals and vehicles. Maintain communication with your neighbouring businesses and the Clairwood Crime Chat Group, which will send out alerts so you can be up-to-date with what is happening in the area,” Naidoo added.

Naicker’s grieving family declined to comment. He was laid to rest on September 8.
