Police invite public to auction of general goods

For television sets that are auctioned off, the buyer’s particulars of a valid TV licence must be produced.

THE public is invited to attend an auction for general goods hosted by the SAPS eThekwini District at the Pinetown police station, situated at 133 Josiah Gumede Road in Pinetown, on September 14.

Viewing of the goods will be from 08:00 to 09:30, and the auction will start at 10:00.

Captain Louise le Roux, Brighton Beach Police communications officer, said all property will be sold to the highest bidder.

“Buyers are responsible for removing all items purchased at their own cost after items are bought as is. Furthermore, for television sets that are auctioned off, the buyer’s name and address, as well as the particulars of the valid TV licence, must be produced,” she said.

She added the auction is only of general goods and not vehicles. Buyers will be required to pay a refundable deposit of R100.
