World Tongue Twister Day is celebrated annually on the second Sunday in November.
The first tongue twisters were said to have been written in the 19th Century and included in a book published by John Harris who published several books for children.
A tongue twister is a phrase that is difficult to articulate because of the string of similar-sounding consonants strung together which the speaker might struggle to say succinctly. (See what we did there?)
