Single Wentworth mom launches first book

The Wentworth grandmother said the book holds a part of her testimony.

WENTWORTH resident, Lavern Poisson, a proud single mother of six, launched her first book, The Shulamite Bride, at the Durban International Book Fair on August 2, at Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.

The Wentworth grandmother said the book holds a part of her testimony, which is aimed at encouraging those struggling with relationships, to learn the heart of God and his love for family.

The Shulamite Bride was launched at the Durban International Book Fair.

“The Shulamite Bride is a book that was inspired by the Holy Spirit. The shulamite means perfect and peaceable, taken from the song of Solomon. I believe if we hand our lives to Christ and allow him to choose for us, then we have stepped into the perfect will of God and his heavenly design for our lives. The perfect will of God is peace. A true family unit is bound by the love of God. I believe that with the correct teaching on marriage and what it entails, choosing the right partner according to the blueprint of heaven will enable our future generation not to make the mistakes some of us have made. The book is written and designed to get the bride ready for marriage and is also designed to bring a deep understanding of family, marriage and intimacy with God,” said Lavern.
