Bluff Bowling Club hosts men’s fours weekend tourney

It promises to be an exciting weekend of great bowls and entertainment with many different clubs involved.

THE week’s play began with Bluff Bowling Club’s men’s social bowls. The team enjoyed a great morning of bowls and Thai inspired meal thereafter.

The twilight trips series finale was played in good weather conditions. It brought out the best in the players, with all playing in the spirit of true sportsmanship for the prizes on offer.

First place went to Wonke Somsteu, Stewart Procter and Gavin Conlon, from Wanderers Bowling Club. Second place went to the team from Bluff BC of Chad Wilson, Russell Fuller and Bryan Weldon. The three session prizes were won by Greg Dorrofield, Deon Els and Jeff Waterman. The second session was won by Brian and Paula Osman and Wendy Fleetwood, and the third session went to Clint Duncan, Louise du Plessis and Chrissie Smith.

A big thanks to all the bowlers who supported and enjoyed the camaraderie, and to the club members for making the tournament a successful event.
