The school’s principal Yaida Naidoo said classes were suspended and learners were told to go home after some were displaying effects of ancestral calling.

“Due to the number of learners in our school being affected by ancestral calling, we have had no choice but to suspend classes for the rest of today for the safety of learners, and to help those that have been affected,” said Naidoo.

In a statement released on Facebook by one of the responding security companies, PT Ambulance Service, the affected learners were displaying movements resembling seizures.

“The paramedics are attempting to calm the affected pupils and the situation is under control,” read the statement.

According to PT Ambulance Service, a similar incident happened at a school in Reservoir Hills on Thursday, February 24.
