Post office releases December dates for R350 grant collection

You may only collect your grant after receiving an SMS.

THE South African Post Office (SAPO) released the December collection dates for beneficiaries of the SASSA R350 Covid-19 Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant.

The dates, starting from December 6, are applicable to the SA Post office payout system only. In a statement issued in October, SAPO said all beneficiaries must wait for an SMS that will inform them when their grant is available.

“The grant will not be available to you if you try to collect it before you have received an SMS. The SA Post Office has become aware of large numbers of beneficiaries who try to withdraw their R350 grant before receiving an SMS,” said SAPO spokesperson, Johan Kruger.

The dates are as follows:

December 6: 080 and 085
December 7: 081 and 086
December 8: 082 and 087
December 9: 083 and 088
December 10: 084 and 089
December 13: 080 and 085
December 14: 081 and 086
December 15: 082 and 087
December 20: 083 and 088
December 21: 084 and 089
December 22: 080 and 085
