Organisation appeals for donations to make a difference

Wentworth Angels will do things differently this year instead of hosting a Christmas party.

AS Christmas fast approaches, consider giving to those less fortunate to uplift their holiday spirits.

Wentworth Angels are embarking on a campaign to make the festive season merrier for those who would otherwise go without.

The organisation’s founder, Tracey Williams, said they have decided to do things differently this year.

“With Christmas on our doorstep and everyone taking a knock financially, we have cancelled the Christmas party and opted to rather distribute grocery hampers for families.

“We also have an adopt-a-child initiative where you choose a child from the community and purchase two outfits, shoes or slippers and toiletries. This year will be totally different, we will deliver door to door in our Santa and elf suits,” she said.

She added they have set a target to help 100 homes in the community with groceries. The organisation appeals for donations either food or cash.
