Hollywood Foundation’s sustainable initiative aims to give hope

The non-profit organisation plays an active role in the communities within which it operates, and aspires to lend a helping hand countrywide.

BETTING operator, Hollywoodbets, places the needs of the community at heart.

The company’s corporate social investment policy, established in 2012, and has grown tremendously over the last decade.

As their My Community Programme positively impacts thousands of lives through various projects, the company has taken the next step to elevate these initiatives.

The company has launched the Hollywood Foundation, which aims to bring hope to local communities through collaborative efforts that make a sustainable impact.

As a fully-fledged non-profit organisation that plays an active role in the communities within which it operates, the foundation aims to operate programmes that will lend a helping hand to communities in the country.

The organisation’s team aims to find ways to make a difference in many lives with projects focusing on welfare, education, sports, arts, and culture, as well as investing in SMMEs.

To kick-off, the foundation has pledged to inject a massive R9 million across various projects country-wide. These include the continuation of its annual back-to-school campaign, The Future is Bright Bursary Initiative, and social welfare projects.

“Over the years, Hollywoodbets has witnessed, first hand, the challenges faced by South African communities. We have also seen the positive results that arise from investing in meaningful initiatives, and how powerful giving hope can be.”

“We are proud to launch the Hollywood Foundation as this next step will take our development projects even further. The foundation will work together with our communities, organisations, and ultimately people who need support to ensure a brighter future,” said CEO, Suren Rampersadh.
