Contractual delays behind overgown verges in ward 64

WARD 64 councillor, Gavin Hetger informs residents of issues and delays pertaining to verge cutting and land clearance.

“You have most likely noticed that unmaintained verges and other areas have not been cut in a while and are becoming overgrown and unsightly.

“These areas are cut by contractors. Unfortunately, these contracts ended and the new contracts were not in place. I have engaged with the Acting Head of the Parks Department and he advised that they are currently finalising the contracts and are hoping for the first of eight cuts for the year will commence in the second week of October,” he said.
