LOOK: Mr SA hopeful’s meet and greet a success

Rylen de Esclana is now vying for a spot in the Top 10 as the competition nears a close.

MR SA hopeful, Rylen de Esclana, hosted a meet and greet at Bluff Towers Mall over the Heritage Day long weekend.

The Friday, September 24 and Saturday, September 25 events were aimed at meeting and thanking the community who has rallied behind him since day one.

Rylen believes his journey towards being crowned has been as good as the community behind him. He is now vying for a spot in the Top 10 as the competition nears a close.

“I am beyond humbled and overwhelmed by the tremendous response of every hand and heart that made this event possible. To KZN and surrounding communities, thank you for coming out to show your love and support.”

“I couldn’t help but get teary-eyed at certain parts of events. I saw people I never knew make their way from afar to show their support, take a picture and send their well wishes in my journey ahead,” he said.

As he stood there, he said, he felt the resounding hope and faith of his family, friends, and community.

“The hope that echoed was Rylen, you are already our winner. The title is yours,” he added.

Reflecting on his journey towards winning the coveted title, he said he sees how it has imprinted hope into the hearts of many and it reminds him of why he entered the competition.

Among many other reasons, Rylen wants others to be inspired and believe again, to never give up, and that it is never too late to start again, and to dream the impossible and watch it become reality.

“Together our voice amplify. I pray that by God’s grace my story and journey becomes a beacon of hope for many to believe again and dream impossible dreams for themselves.”

“And that with God on your, side all things are possible. KZN and South Durban, I can’t wait to celebrate with you what becomes of my journey and I thank God for your faith in me and prayers towards me. God bless,” he added.
