Brighton Beach FCS seeks help in solving rape case

The police unit believes that the person in the identikit will assist detectives with the case they are investigating.

THE police have issued out an identikit in the hopes of getting help in solving a rape case.

Brighton Beach’s Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit requests assistance from residents in identifying the man.

The unit believes that the person in the identikit will assist detectives with the case they are investigating.

“It is alleged that on Friday, May 21 at 00:10, a 23-year-old victim was in the Bluff area when a known suspect overpowered and raped her.”

“The suspect was interrupted when her friend entered the house and he fled the scene on foot. A rape case was opened at the Brighton Beach police station. The whereabouts of the suspect are unknown,” said provincial spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele.
