PICS: Montclair Senior celebrates Heritage Day

"The aim of commemorating Heritage Day was a way of "normalising" school in the midst of the pandemic."

COLOURFUL is the best way to describe what the field looked like at Montclair Senior Primary School on Thursday morning, September 23.

Learners, teachers including the supporting staff gathered outside to enjoy a morning of song and dance as part of Heritage Day festivities ahead of the national holiday.

The school’s programme entailed dancing, singing, hoisting the national flag, celebrating sports all while embracing cultural diversities.

“The aim of commemorating Heritage Day was a way of “normalising” school in the midst of the pandemic. It’s been a year of gloom and we wanted learners to have cheer and brightness as they remember their roots,” said acting principal, Sandy Naicker.
