Bluff councillor keen to keep her spot

Zoe Solomon was elected and sworn into office towards the end of last year following the resignation of the previous councillor, JP Prinsloo.

ZOE SOLOMON has once again been nominated as the Democratic Alliance (DA) councillor candidate for ward 66 in the upcoming local government elections.

Solomon was elected and sworn into office towards the end of last year following the resignation of the previous councillor, JP Prinsloo.

The DA won the ward 66 by-election in December by a record 85% and she looks forward to continuing the good work that she has done in the Bluff community.

“As a resident who grew up on the Bluff, I know the area and its community intimately. I receive dozens of appeals for assistance daily and make it a priority to deal with each and every one. In council, I’m part of one of the biggest DA caucuses in the country and we lead in all fields. I have dedicated myself to the job as your representative in eThekwini.

“In the stringent, multi-faceted grading system the DA runs in choosing candidates before every election, I was humbled to discover that I was ranked number one in the whole of the Metro.

“Despite my battles with Covid-19, I have come out fighting for the best possible service delivery for our beloved Bluff. This will never be easy in an ANC-run municipality but after so many thousands of DA supporters registered to vote in the local government elections on Monday, November 1, our confidence is soaring.

“I gave you my word when I became the ward councillor that I would give you 100% and I assure you, that with your invaluable support, we will be showcasing our ward to the rest of the Metro. I hope in my actions I have lived up to our motto: The DA gets things done,” she said.
