“This year we had 19 companies who took played 19 holes on the day. Proceeds go towards all the club’s needs in preparation for the season. The impact of Covid-19 has not been kind to us as our funds had depleted. It has been a difficult time where many felt the financial pinch and we are grateful for all who supported this initiative. Every little bit will help the club keep afloat. We’ve got more game time this year in contrast to last year due to lockdown so we’re really excited to move forward with the rugby season which kicked off this month after being given the go ahead from the KZN Rugby Union,” said Domanique Smutts of Harlequins Rugby Club.
