Montclair police salute officer for 40 years of excellent service

The station's spokesperson said Warrant Officer Jayraj Thool's history is a mixture of the excellent services he rendered determinedly and untiringly.

SALUTATIONS of respect for 40 years of faithful service went to Warrant Officer Jayraj Thool.

The Montclair-based officer reached the end of his journey as a SAPS employee due to retirement.

According to the station’s spokesperson, Captain Derek Vijiam, the officer’s history is a mixture of the excellent services he rendered determinedly and untiringly.

Vijiam said Thool brought his vast knowledge to the Montclair Vispol component at a time when many needed his experience.

His determination and work ethic enabled him to never shy away from the challenges he encountered, but instead, it sharpened and motivated his skills to drive his shift to become one of the vital components at SAPS Montclair.

“You have carried burdens of injury aside to serve the SAPS and rendered your unsung services with pride. You have not displayed any element of weariness or tiredness, even when the burden was becoming heavier.”

“Even with a serious injury, you continued to soldier on with ambition to ensure that the SAPS’s objectives and mandate were achieved, and to raise the SAPS’s flag high,” he said.

Thool served the organisation with pride for 40 years since joining SAPS on 1 January 1981.

“He has the satisfaction of knowing that he’s been a good foot soldier who had never hesitated,” Vijiam said.

The Warrant Officer was awarded a certificate of service and a memento on behalf of SAPS Montclair, as a gesture of appreciation for his loyal service.

“SAPS Montclair applauds your dedication and all your years of hard work to serve and protect. We salute you!” he added.
