Organisation appeals for assistance to feed over 200 families

This is part of their continued efforts to bridge the hunger gap in Wentworth and surrounding areas.

WENTWORTH Angels once again appeal to the community for assistance in its grocery hamper drive.

The organisation aims to put food on the table for at least 200 families who are in dire need.

This is part of their continued efforts to bridge the hunger gap in Wentworth and surrounding areas.

The organisation that has been a pillar to the destitute in the community for 12 years, intensified its feeding project at the start of lockdown, as many struggled to make ends meet.

“We are still holding onto our faith that we can meet this target. We have only requested food items that will assist a family for two to three weeks. We have identified homes that we have been assisting throughout the pandemic, but the list never ends. We try our utmost to make sure that we can assist to the best of our ability,” said founder, Tracey Williams.

Donations can be made in the form of food items such as baked beans, tinfish, staple foods, cooking oil, butter and or hygiene products. The organisation also appeals for second-hand clothing for boys, women and men.

Drop-offs can be made at 42 Parbhani Road, Merebank.

Alternatively, make a deposit into the organisation’s bank account using the following details: Standard Bank, account number 051579227, branch code 051001, swift code SBZAZAJJ.

Call Tracey Williams on 074-703-1393 for more information.
