Motorist killed in Merebank drive-by shooting

The motorist was shot multiple times after his vehicle was sprayed with bullets on the M4 Himalaya Road off-ramp.

A motorist was killed when his vehicle was sprayed with bullets in a Merebank drive-by shooting on Tuesday, 11 May.
 
Speaking about the incident, PT Alarms spokesperson, Trishen Govender said, “The vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed down an embankment where the vehicle slammed into a vehicle and came to rest after crashing into a truck.”
 
“PT Alarms Tactical, PT K9 members, and police attended the scene. Various emergency and medical authorities attended to the injured male motorist who was shot multiple times after his vehicle was sprayed with bullets on the M4 Himalaya Road off-ramp, Merebank. The victim, unfortunately, succumbed to his injuries,” added Govender.
 
The circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown and will be investigated by police.
