Suspected hijackers apprehended in Montclair

The suspect also had cases of vehicle theft and hijacking against him.

PATROLLING armed response personnel were instrumental in arresting two men who are believed to be linked to cases of theft in Montclair. 

At about 11.30am on Monday, 3 May, Security Force members sparred no time when a call for assistance was made by the Metro Police who were pursuing a suspect in the area.

“Our Tactical Team Members joined in and gave chase. Members stopped the vehicle and our Armed Response Units were on scene. Together with the Metro Police Anti-Drug and Gang-Unit, the vehicle was stopped.

“The vehicle has positive cases in the Montclair area. The suspect also had cases of vehicle theft and hijacking against him. The two suspects were apprehended and the vehicle was impounded,” read a statement from Security Force.
