New doors open for ward 66

Situated at 87 Tara Road, next to the Pigeon Club, is the prefab building where community members are welcome to seek the councillor’s services.

AFTER months of operating without a physical premises, ward 66 finally has an office space.

Situated at 87 Tara Road, next to the Pigeon Club, is the prefab building where community members are welcome to seek the councillor’s services. The ward has not had a councillor’s office since December after the lease at its previous premises was terminated.

“Heartfelt thanks to Wysiwyg Tax Consultants (Francois and Suleen Marais) for their support and sponsorship of the upgrade of the little building, I am so grateful. The office is open with strict Covid regulations in place and can be visited between 8.30am and 12.30pm Monday to Thursday for proof of address and general assistance,” said ward 66 councillor, Zoë Solomon.

She appeals to local businesses and the public for donations of signage that would be placed on the road as well as on the building so that the office easily identifiable.
