Alleged pyramid scheme owner goes missing

Mfundo Manci was on his way to Cape Town for a business trip and was reported missing soon after.

POLICE are tracing the whereabouts of Mfundo Manci who was last seen by his mother on Monday, 29 March at about 10am.

According to Wentworth police’s communications officer, Captain Mbuso Gumede, Manci was going to Cape Town on a business trip.

“It was reported that he took a British Airways flight to Cape Town at King Shaka International Airport at about 12.15pm on Friday, 2 April and was reported missing the next day. The missing person is alleged to be operating a pyramid scheme called Crypto Mzansi Group (Pty) Ltd where many people had invested in his scheme. Anyone who knows his whereabouts can contact Wentworth SAPS on 031 451 6234,” he said.
