Woodlands Sports Club members take ownership of their community

Members of Woodlands Sports Club rolled up their sleeves in a proactive approach to clean-up the heavily polluted area outside Woodlands Junior Primary School on Sunday, 14 February.

MEMBERS of Woodlands Sports Club rolled up their sleeves in a proactive approach to clean-up the heavily polluted area outside Woodlands Junior Primary School on Sunday, 14 February.

Club member, Luke West said it was important that they embark on the initiative a day before schools open to not only get the area looking cleaner, but to also avoid learners being exposed to some of the harmful rubbish left behind from people who socialise in the area.

The dedicated team also got, Dewalt Garden Services to assist in cutting down the overgrown grass in the area. Members have taken ownership of their area and encourage the rest of the community to do the same in an effort to restore their beloved suburb.
