Garden refuse sites revert to normal hours

Sites can be accessed from 7am to 5pm daily.

THE cleansing and Solid Waste Unit (CSW) advised residents that as from Monday, 8 February, garden refuse sites will revert to their normal operational hours.

Sites can be accessed from 7am to 5pm daily. The municipality further advised that residents visiting waste facilities are required to comply with all Covid-19 protocols and onsite instructions. Strictly no mask, no entry.

“All personal hygiene and sanitary products must be double bagged without compressing the waste. In addition, waste generated from households with residents in isolation or quarantine must also be double bagged and left out on the verge on normal collection day. This is to protect CSW employees that are handling the waste,” the city advised.
