Health department rolls out free Covid-19 testing

Results for this rapid testing system are made available within 30 minutes.

THE Department of Health has afforded residents the opportunity to know their Covid-19 status.

While testing is based at the Bayview Sports Club on the Bluff, the service is open to anyone and is completely free.

Results for this rapid testing system are made available within 30 minutes. No specific documents are needed for the test to be done.

“Testing will run this week until Friday but will continue if numbers stay high. Anyone who tests positive and cannot isolate due to their living conditions can be taken by ambulance straight to the Clairwood Field Hospital for 10 days’ free isolation,” said ward 66 councillor, Zoë Solomon.

Services are available from 9am to 2pm. For more information, Call Zoë on 073-027-5432.
