Councillor encourages community to stick together

Ward 66 councillor, Zoe Solomon wishes the Bluff community a happy new year, despite a crazy transition from 2020 to 2021.

WARD 66 councillor, Zoe Solomon wishes the Bluff community a happy new year, despite a crazy transition from 2020 to 2021.

“We’re living in a time where we are afraid to celebrate and plan ahead like we normally do, after discovering in the past year that all our plans can be dashed. Many people suffered from the virus, losing loved ones, losing their holidays, missing out on time with family and financial strain

“My encouragement from the community is to be of good cheer. Keep up your relationships with friends and family via virtual platforms. Remember your loved ones at this time and check in on each other while maintaining Covid-19 protocol. Stay home as much as possible. Let’s stick together as a community and uplift one another.

“As the public rep I strive to be of good service to everybody and treat everyone’s individual needs as a priority. I will continue to try in these difficult times where there is a lack of resources, lack of municipal staff due to Covid infections and all the other things we need for good service delivery. My commitment is to always keep them informed and communicate well. I encourage residents to join my Facebook page; Zoe Solomon for the Bluff or a road group on Whatsapp, so that they’re kept up to date with all things concerning service delivery. I will always update on those platforms,” said Solomon, advising that people refrain from misusing social media platforms to spread fake news or rumours.
