Upcoming events at Durban Wanderers sure to entertain bowlers

The snowball and Lotto draws have been postponed indefinitely until further notice.

The weekly drawn pairs continued at Durban Wanderers Sports Club on Sunday, 6 December.

Top spot went to Clive Symons and Hanno Blom on a 4+19. The first session went to Robbie Spiller and Claude Newman on a 2+9. Tommy Cloete and Greg Ferns claimed the second session on a 2+5. Sportsmen on the day were Cave James and Gordon Chislette who lost both games narrowly.

Members and friends are reminded of the two up and coming events this month. Sunday, 13 December, sees Durban Wanderers and Bluff Bowling Clubs co-host the annual Vernon Corbishley Memorial Bowls Day. This is an open tournament for bowlers and non-bowlers. Entries close soon, contact Tommy Cloete on 083-570-2437 to enter a side.

Wednesday, 23 December, sees the annual Durban Wanderers Golf Classic take place at Bluff Country Club. Every one is welcome, contact Mike Flack on 083-227-1900 to enter a 4-ball. This years’ fundraiser is for Neil “Bob” Jordaan, who was recently involved in an car accident.

The Friday meat raffle is being sold again. The snowball and Lotto draws have been postponed indefinitely until further notice.

Kingdom slots are also open every day, and members are encouraged to come for a meal and a spin while you wait.
