Biker dies in truck collision accident

Rescue Care Paramedics and Redline Response were respondents at the scene.

A MAN believed to be in his 50s was killed in a bike and truck collision at the intersection of the M7 and Solomon Mahlangu Drive underneath the N2 highway just before 11pm on Wednesday evening, 23 September.

“A male believed to be in his fifties was found in a critical condition and Rescue Care Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilise the man on the scene. He was placed on a manual ventilator before he went into cardiac arrest. Despite paramedics’ and doctors’ attempts at the hospital, he passed away due to his injuries” said Rescue Care spokesperson, Rowan Scandroglio.

The events leading up to the accident are unknown, however, the police were on the scene and are investigating.
